Scott Caan Joins 'Hawaii Five-O' Reboot as Danno

Scott CaanActor Scott Caan has booked the coveted role of Danny "Danno" Williams on the CBS reboot of 'Hawaii Five-O,' according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In the updated version, Williams heads to Hawaii to be closer to his 7-year-old daughter following a nasty divorce from his wife. There, he partners with Steve McGarrett, played by star Alex O'Loughlin.

The role was originated by James McCarthur in 1968.

In addition to O'Loughlin, Caan will co-star alongside Daniel Dae Kim ('Lost'), Taryn Manning ('Hustle & Flow') and the recently cast Grace Park ('Battlestar Galactica').

Cann -- who is the son of Oscar nominee James Caan -- has spent much of his career on the big screen, with roles in 'Varisty Blues,' 'Gone in Sixty Seconds' and the popular 'Ocean's Eleven' franchise, and will next star IFC's 'Mercy.' He was previously attached to star in the Brett Ratner-directed pilot 'Cop House' on FOX.
