Kathy Bates Looking to Leave Sabre For a Law Firm

Kathy BatesRight now Kathy Bates is the new owner of Dunder-Mifflin on 'The Office,' but you know that her role on that show is going to be short-lived (even if Sabre does hold on to the paper company). However, that doesn't mean that Bates is leaving television.

Bates is talking to David E. Kelley about a starring role on his new NBC legal drama (Kelley seems to have a thing for legal shows, eh?) 'Kindreds.' She would play the head of the law firm.

'Kindreds' should not be confused with 'Kindred: The Embraced,' which was about vampires, not lawyers (insert your own joke here). 'Kindred: The Embraced' would probably be a hit if it had premiered today and not 1996.

I think Kathy Bates is great and add's to any production she's in. But keep that Jerk, Mo'Nique of Precious, OUT of everything!

Oh, boy! Another legal drama on NBC! Just what the world needs! Maybe another medical drama! How about a little variety? Right now I'd watch a trash collection drama just to see something different.

I have never seen Kathy Bates in anything that i did not marvel at her talents. She is so underappreciated. She has no equal. I would watch anything that had had a significant role for her. In Rat Race it took 2 minutes on screen for her to make a movie everyone was talking about. And still quoting.

I agree with everyone Kathy Bates is a believable actress her character take you under her wing and make you feel you are apart of the scene.
