Mark-Paul GosselaarAfter logging a couple of seasons as a lawyer on TNT's now defunct legal drama, 'Raising the Bar,' TV veteran and perennial hottie Mark-Paul Gosselaar is headed back to court -- this time, on TBS' hourlong comedy pilot, 'Franklin & Bash.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Jamie Tarses-produced pilot, which was penned by Kevin Falls ('The West Wing') and Bill Chais ('Dirty Sexy Money'), focuses on lifelong pals ('Robot Chicken's' Breckin Meyer is "Franklin" to Gosselaar's "Bash") who successfully take down a big time law firm only to end up being wooed by the firm's patriarch. No word yet on a premiere date.

Gosselaar's previous small-screen gigs include 'Commander in Chief,' 'NYPD Blue' and, perhaps most famously, the teen series 'Saved by the Bell.' 'Bar' -- which ran for two seasons on TNT -- was canceled last November due to low ratings.

"Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on 'Raising the Bar' with Steven Bochco and the rest of the show's terrific cast and crew ... Unfortunately, ratings for 'Raising the Bar's' second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series," TNT said in a statement.

Fingers crossed that this one makes it big. It's been way too long since Zack, er, Mark-Paul, has had a bona fide hit.
