As 'Bachelor' fans know, the couple has endured a relationship full of ups and downs. He initially chose Melissa Rycroft in his season's finale and sent Malaney home in tears. But several months later, during an 'After the Final Rose' special, Mesnick broke up with Rycroft on national television -- and asked Malaney to give him another chance.

Rycroft ended up on 'Dancing With the Stars,' where she placed third, and got her own happy ending when she married Tye Strickland in December 2009.

Our favorite moments and observations from Jason and Molly's wedding:

• Anyone else not surprised Rycroft didn't show up?
• Jason reveals in an interview that a female fan yelled at him after he dumped Rycroft. "Jason you're a scumbag," she said, Mesnick recalls. "Melissa is way cooler than you."
• Jason and Molly keep repeating in interviews that they have been there for each other in tough times, and that helps keep them together. A possible red flag: Molly says even in her wedding vows how "up and down" the past year has been. Jason acknowledges they are "very different people."
• Before the big day, Molly learns stripper moves. She gets embarrassed, saying that grabbing her ankles isn't that "sexy."
• Jason's guy friends razz him on his failed committed relationships. One makes a toast to Jason that he has proposed to numerous women, but "Molly is the best."
• Best kissing moment: the kiss outside the fountain at the Bellagio in Vegas.
• Wedding prep dream team: Neil Lane jewels (When Jason wants a thicker platinum band, it makes both Lane and Molly thrilled), Monique Lhullier dress, hair by Ken Paves, and make-up by Mally Rancal.
• Tearjerker pre-wedding moments: Rehearsal dinner highlighted by speeches about relationships; Molly realizes the next time she will see Jason is their wedding; Jason reads a note from Molly attached to his corsage that he will forever give her butterflies; Molly's mom Maryann can't stop tearing up with emotions and spontaneously remembers Molly coming home with mud on her clothes as a little girl.
• With "American Idol's" Jason Castro playing, Jason tears up at the first sight of his bride-to-be as she comes down the aisle. He tells her that she looks beautiful. Aww!
• No one objects to their union, but not before people look around for a possible big twist.
• Doves spring out of boxes into the air in honor of Jason and Molly's enduring-ness. Ignoring that the doves narrowly missed audience members while flying away, it was a touching moment.
• We won't mention the irony of rain pouring down during their vows. The bride and groom are covered in rain as they exchange rings. Our heart goes out to Molly, who calls the rain adventure "so much fun."
• Previous Bachelor update! Jake Pavelka says he has "no doubt" he will marry Vienna, even though they are still living on the down-low. "Hopefully, we can follow in their footsteps shortly," he says. Ed and Jillian, who were ravaged in the tabloids for not being together, look like they are trying hard to sell their togetherness. "We are taking our time, but we will be the next Bachelor/Bachelorette couple to make it!" Jillian said, while Ed said he expected to do it "sometime in the next year." Charlie O'Connell is back with Sarah, after breaking up for a year. She is waiting on a ring before they decide on a house.
• The in-tact Trista and Ryan are going strong in Colorado after six years with two kids. Yawn. Except that Trista and the mild-mannered Ryan looked much younger in their wedding video.
• Paparazzi and ABC security get physical. Several security guards physically pick up and wrestle to the ground a photographer before the segment abruptly cuts out.
• Deanna Pappas isn't engaged yet, as her boyfriend of six months stood by awkwardly silent when asked if they would tie the knot.
• Rain, thunder and dark clouds! With plastic over the tables, and workers in ponchos, ABC dealt with the rain like a military operation. Harrison, losing his umbrella but with his hair in place, did play-by-play interviews with wedding planners to track progress. You know what they say: no rain, no rainbows.
