CBS Gives 'Undercover Boss' a Second Season

by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 9th 2010 5:40PM
CBS logo'Undercover Boss,' the new CBS reality show where CEOs flip burgers and haul trash and spy on their employees to see how it's really like to work for their companies, is doing well in the ratings so the network has given it a second season.

Of course, now we are all wondering how they are going to pull this off. The longer the show stays on the air, isn't it logical to think that employees will wonder who this new employee is and why there are cameras following them around?

I wonder the same thing about 'Throwdown with Bobby Flay.' If someone from Food Network says they want to film me and do a special about the great things I can do with pasta ('Playing with Pasta!'), I would immediately think "oh, this must be one of those deals where Bobby Flay is going to show up and challenge me."

The show Undercover Boss is one of the best shows around today. The owners, bosses or whoever they are can get a real look at the employees and how they struggle. The see how thie company is really running and what they can do to improve the company. Sundays show was emotional as the chancellor say how the 2 had to deal with financial problems and making the grade. I was glad to see that they found the money to fix their track, start a scholarship and help out 2 struggling students. In the past shows employees have been rewarded for the hard work and committed to the company that they worked for...can not wait to season 2

TV Guide Magazine has a very interesting article about 'Undercover Boss' and, on the second page, they answer what the question about employees now knowing the series.

The show had started to air when they were still shooting Season 1 and they say it hasn't affected the reactions and the undercover part.

They do say they'll retool a few things for season two though.
