TV Casting: Judy Greer Returning to TV

Judy Greer ('Miss Guided') will take another stab at TV stardom in the Fox comedy pilot 'Tax Man.' Greer will join David Krumholtz in the series, set at an IRS office in Fresno, California. The project will re-team Greer with 'Arrested Development's' Ron Howard, who is executive producing the pilot with Brian Grazer and David Nevins. Brent Forrester ('The Office') will pen the pilot. Showkiller alert: Actor Jerry O'Connell will join Jim Belushi in the CBS legal drama 'Defenders,' about two Las Vegas lawyers who go the extra mile for their clients. This marks the second pilot for O'Connell, who will also appear as a guest on another legal series: NBC's 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.' For his sake, we hope the saying "kill two birds with one stone" doesn't apply here. [Hollywood Reporter]
