White's 'Middle' appearance is just one of a series of credits that the 88-year-old spitfire has been racking up since returning to the public's radar in January.

After winningly accepting her lifetime achievement honor at the Screen Actors Guild Awards earlier this year, White confirmed that she still had her comedic edge by memorably taking a hit in a Snickers ad that first aired during the Super Bowl. A grassroots Facebook campaign to get the 'Golden Girl' to host NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' followed soon after, resulting in the recent confirmation that White will host a special 'SNL' Women of Comedy episode on May 8 -- a Mother's Day weekend event that will also feature appearances by former 'SNL' cast members Tina Fey, Ana Gesteyer, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon and Maya Rudolph.

White's 'Middle' episode begins shooting next week. The season finale of the freshman comedy, which stars Emmy winner Patricia Heaton and airs Wednesdays at 8:30PM, will air sometime in May.
