What to Watch March 15 - 21

Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town - Tuesday March 16, 9 pm, CBC

True story: When I was in high school, I was lucky enough to be invited on a date by the new guy at school. His dad worked with CBC and our date was to be a live taping of the original 'Kids in the Hall' sketch show. My date treated me to a large soda before the show and once seated, we discovered we were not allowed to get up again until taping concluded. Long story short: I peed my pants I laughed so hard. Needless to say, I didn't get a second date. Having the Kids back on TV has been a blast, and hopefully this final episode of 'Death Comes to Town' isn't the last time we'll see them reunited.

Also This Week:

30 Rock - Thursday March 18, 9:30 pm, Citytv/NBC

You know how on 'Castle' you can actually buy the book that Castle wrote? If you're a mystery fan I'd guess that's pretty cool. But me, I'm an absurdity fan. (I just re-read 'Youth in Revolt' now that it's back in print - I highly recommended it if you enjoy toilet humour and teenage cross-dressing as plot points.) And now the book I wish I could read is making its fictional debut on '30 Rock'. Tracy's nanny writes a tell-all book that was him worried about his reputation. NBC, this is a major opportunity for cross promotion - have someone write this book for real. I will buy it.

Who Do You Think You Are? - Friday March 19, 8 pm, Citytv/NBC

If the previews for this genealogy show look familiar, that's because a Canadian version of the show on CBC already has 13 episodes in the can. In fact, the show began as a BBC project which migrated to Australia, Canada and now finally, the U.S. In tonight's episode, Lisa Kudrow of 'Friends' fame travels to Belarus and Poland to find out what exactly happened to her great grandmother, who perished in the Holocaust.

The Simpsons - Sunday March 21, 8 pm, Global/Fox

Finally, a match worthy of Bart Simpson! Sarah Silverman is one of two awesome guest voices this week, as Bart's latest reluctant crush. Meanwhile, Angela Bassett voices First Lady Michelle Obama, who comes to Lisa's defence when her nerdiness makes her a target at school.
