This will be the spring of Ochocinco for America, as the irascible wide receiver is sure to charm -- and happily perplex -- those who have not been following his antics on the football field as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals since 2001. He's known for outlandish touchdown celebrations, which include dances ranging from jigs to disco moves, and other outrageous on-field behavior, like trying to bribe a referee with a single dollar bill.

He was fined $20,000 for that one.

Off the field, Ochocinco is just as wacky. He's set to star in a VH1 reality dating show called 'The Tournament,' set for July, and he was crestfallen when his coach took away his Twitter and Ustream privileges during training camp. The drama was shown during an episode of HBO's 'Hard Knocks' last fall.

"It's as tough and emotional for me as losing my Johnson," Ochocinco said.

Ochocinco speaks from experience. He was born Chad Johnson in Miami. He played college ball for Oregon State and was drafted in the second round by the Bengals in 2001. He changed his name to Ochocinco -- Spanish for his jersey number, 85 -- in 2008. He's considered one of the best wide receivers in the game, but has only made the playoffs twice in his tenure with the Bengals.

However, his prospects on 'DWTS' look pretty darn good. Athletes do very well on the show, particularly football players. Former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith won in 2006 and NFLers Jerry Rice, Jason Taylor and Warren Sapp have placed second in other years. Ochocinco is graceful and fluid on the field, as well as very creative. The fact that his partner is two-time champion Cheryl Burke is a big plus.

Now let's see him try to bribe Bruno.
