TV Casting: Carrie Preston Joins 'The Good Wife'

Carrie PrestonCarrie Preston has booked a multi-episode role on CBS' award-winning legal drama 'The Good Wife.' In it, the 'True Blood' co-star will play Elsbeth Mann, the latest addition to Peter's (Chris Noth) legal team. And if that wasn't enough good news for one item, HBO announced yesterday that 'True Blood' will return for its highly anticipated third season on Sun., Jun. 13. [Ausiello Files]

Rozonda Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas is apparently getting what she wants. According to reports, VH1 has set a Sun, Apr. 11 premiere date for her new reality series, aptly titled 'What Chilli Wants.' The show will run for eight episodes, and will feature appearances by Missy Elliott and fellow TLC member Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. [Variety]

Stephen Lang'Avatar's' Stephen Lang has joined the cast of ABC's legal drama 'Matadors,' starring Zach Gilford ('Friday Night Lights') and Oscar-nominated actor David Strathairn ('Good Night, and Good Luck'). Lang, who will also appear on the big screen in the upcoming 'Conan' adaptation, will play a high-powered defense attorney who goes by the nickname "King of Aquittal." 'Matadors' will presumably premiere sometime in the fall. [Variety]

Treat Williams'Everwood' alum Treat Williams is headed back to the small screen in the ABC drama 'Boston's Finest.' Williams will play a cop in the series, about a detective ('Battlestar Galactica's' Katee Sackhoff) and her disgraced male co-worker who solve crimes as they try to unravel a conspiracy that led to his downfall. Natalie Morales'White Collar's' Natalie Morales is headed to Pawnee, Indiana, for a multi-episode role on NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.' She'll play a busgirl at a local bar on the series, with an exact premiere date yet to be announced. Also joining the show are Adam Scott and Rob Lowe. [Ausiello Files]
