'Glee' Cast to Appear on 'Oprah'

The first week in April will be tumultuous for the folks from 'Glee.' Sunday, April 4, is Easter, then on Monday, April 5, the gang will be at the White House for the annual Easter Egg festivities. Then on Wednesday, April 7, 'Glee' goes to 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'! They should sing 'My Kind of Town' as a tribute to Chicago when they get off the plane, don't you think?
Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly has reported that creator of 'Glee,' Ryan Murphy, and the 'Glee' performers will be in Oprah's Harpo studios for a big-time celebration of the Fox show's success. And, of course, this is all in anticipation of the program's return with new episodes on Tuesday, April 13.
On 'Oprah,' you can expect the singers to perform -- of course! -- and Ryan Murphy to answer questions about the characters and where the show is going. But they're also promising "never-before-seen backstage video." You should also adjust the volume on your TV set because the audience is going to be filled with Gleeks who will be screaming at the drop of a hat.
The Oprah.com site is prepping the appearance with a "destination page" for Gleeks, although there's not likely to be anything new there that the fans don't already know. The fervor to 'Glee' is intense, people, and if you don't know that by now, you will once the numbers start getting reported from this spring concert tour. The music from the show has been tearing up iTunes.
