'Breaking Bad' (Sun., 10PM, AMC) season 3 premiereWhen last we left cancer-surviving drug cooker Walt (Emmy winner Bryan Cranston), his wife had left him, he'd dropped off his drug partner Jesse (Emmy nominee Aaron Paul) at rehab and Walt and Jesse were indirectly involved with a mid-air collision of two airplanes that left more than a hundred people dead and an eyeball landing in Walt's backyard. And the third season? Well, believe it or not, things go from tragic to worse: Skyler is more resolved than ever to become the ex-Mrs. White; Walt Jr. is freaking out about his fractured family; Jesse comes to a heartbreaking bit of self-analysis in rehab; and, just when he thinks he's out, Walt's drug cohorts make a multi-million dollar offer to pull him back in. And there are the hit men who are hot on the trail of ... well, you'll see.

'Life' – This visually spectacular, 11-part series was four years in the making, is narrated by Oprah Winfrey and, most important, comes from the team behind that other incredible nature series, 'Planet Earth.' 'Life,' with episode that include Insects, Mammals, Plants, Primates and Reptiles & Amphibians, is every bit as fascinating. And yes, it's also being shown on Discovery network's HD channels (Sun., 8PM, Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Investigation Discovery, Planet Green and Discovery Health Channel) miniseries premiere
'The Simpsons' – Sarah Silverman guest stars as a classmate of Bart's who sparks a case of puppy love in the little yellow guy (Sun., 8PM, Fox)
'Desperate Housewives' – Series creator Marc Cherry has confirmed that Drea de Matteo's Angie will be exiting the show at the end of the season, and we suspect the arrival of Angie's ex-boyfriend (played by 'Torchwood' hottie John Barrowman) may have a little something to do with that (Sun., 9PM, ABC)
'Gene Simmons Family Jewels' – Here's an idea for a 'Family Jewels' drinking game: Take a swig every time Gene manages to get yet another piece of KISS memorabilia on camera (Sun., 9PM, A&E) season 5 premiere
'Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution' – It's a sneak peek at the new series in which the British chef attempts a foodie makeover on the bad eating habits of Americans, beginning with a school in Huntington, West Virginia, which was named the unhealthiest city in the country (Sun., 10PM, ABC) series premiere
'Jerseylicious' – 'Jersey Shore,' 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' and now 'Jerseylicious' ... reality TV has managed to do what neither Bruce Springsteen nor Bon Jovi could do: it's made Joisey, dare we say it?, cool (Sun., 10PM, Style) series premiere
'Kirstie Alley's Big Life' – "Life, lick it," is her motto, and that's the most sane thing we're expecting from this reality series, which follows the 'Cheers' star as she makes another public attempt at weight loss (Sun., 10PM, A&E) series premiere
