Fox News Airing Sarah Palin Special on April 1

by Brad Trechak, posted Mar 31st 2010 8:04AM
Sarah PalinHaving Sarah Palin on Fox News is a bit of a no-brainer, particularly since they appeal to the same demographic. Rupert Murdoch takes full advantage of this fact when she appears as a contributor and will do so again this coming Thursday when the former Governor hosts 'Real American Stories.'

The show will be your basic celebrity interview show in which successful Americans reveal the history and secrets of their success. Guests will include Toby Keith, LL Cool J and former GE CEO Jack Welch. Hopefully they'll be on the same show and they'll be fighting each other in a ring.

Honestly, Sarah Palin is so busy nowadays. She's got her book. She's got her new reality show on TLC. Pretty soon she'll be getting her own sitcom on NBC Thursday nights. Hmmmm.

Whatever you do, don't read too much into the fact that the show begins on April Fool's Day. No, stop reading into that. Stop that right now. That's not appreciated.

Fox News' rapidly rising ratings indicates its demographic now includes former CNN & MSNBC watchers as their ratings continue to decline. After cutting LL Cool J's story from the ad and show, Fox News responded, "Real American Stories features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith's interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career." I think what LL did was cut off his nose to spite his face. How many viewers might have watched his interview and become a fan vs. those of us who couldn't care less about him now?

Yet another reason to like LL Cool J! Good for him for not wanting to be linked with this twit.

Typical Sarah Palin, even in the title 'Real American' Stories. Which implies that these are the real Americans as opposed to socialist Marxist totalitarians like Barrack Obama and his merry band of anti-Americans.

Yet, it's pretty savvy to put her next to LL Cool J and Jack Welch, who can only make her appear to be more centrist than she really is.

But it makes me wonder why these guys would want to appear on her show, because it kind of makes them appear to approve of her. Looks like Roger Ailes influence in making her president is going to be a big help--after all, he got Nixon elected in '68.

Fox News just announced that the LL Cool J segment is not going to be part of Sarah Palin's Real Americans.

Apparently his interview was taped prior to Palin's involvement on the show and wants nothing to do with this demagogue.
