New 'True Blood' Poster: VILF

True BloodHBO sure knows its audience. As part of a 12-part weekly marketing campaign, the cable network has released a teaser poster for 'True Blood' season 3 with four simple letters: VILF.

The new poster simply states "VILF" in big, bold white letters on a red background with a smaller bit of programming information in the bottom right corner. The acronym is a play on the popular slang term MILF, replacing "mother" with "vampire."

HBO will release a new poster each week leading up to the June 13 premiere of 'True Blood.' According to the Hollywood Reporter, the posters will not be connected by any type of theme and HBO hopes each will include a viral-friendly image.

The teaser poster campaign also coincides with HBO's rebroadcast of season two.

True Blood"We're starting pretty far out and striving to empower the show's rabid fan base with key pieces of content," Courteney Monroe, executive vice president of consumer marketing at HBO, said in a statement.

This is the second teaser poster, the first one (left) featured a coffee pot filled with blood.
