I, too, went back twenty years with Dave. And like Lorenzo, I was among his writing collaborators. He was a great friend, and we will miss his passion and creativity. As we pour libation in his memory, it would only be fitting to play something by Eddie Hazel...

He was my friend of twenty years. I was supposed to get back with him, but I couldn't find the time. Life may be full of regrets, but this will be a hard one to swallow.

I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend. Please don't let the regret of not contacting him recently, bring you too much sorrow....we all have such regrets. He would want you to go forward with great, joyous strides in memory of him! No one knows when life will end....just like that! Important to love one another.

A great loss. Mills' work on some of the best things ever to appear on television will stand the test of time, but he was still at the top of his game, and was proud and excited about the upcoming Treme.
