Julianne Moore Reprises Role on 'As the World Turns' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 5th 2010 4:00PM
As a way to honor the end of the soap which launched her career as an actress, Julianne Moore briefly reprised her role as Frannie Hughes today on 'As the World Turns' (weekdays, 2PM ET on CBS). Moore played the dual roles of half-sisters Frannie and Sabrina on the soap from 1985 until 1988, when she won a Daytime Emmy Award.

Officially canceled by CBS last December, 'As the World Turns' is a casualty of declining ratings and a changing daytime TV landscape in which soaps are waning overall. The show will come to a close in September after a 54-year run.
