Cate Meets Her Father on 'Life Unexpected' (VIDEO)

The drama 'Life Unexpected' (Mon., 8PM ET on The CW) is all about children reconnecting with their parents. But sometimes, things don't always go the way that we would hope. In the latest episode, Cate (Shiri Appleby) takes a road trip in order to meet her dad for the first time. But as it turns out, her father (played by Peter Horton) isn't so excited to met his daughter.

Gordon, Cate's father, abandoned her as a girl. And he seems to have little interest in putting things right. Not only does he not want to come to Cate's wedding, but he doesn't really want to know her. "I'm sorry," he says, "because I can't be who you want me to be." "No, it's not who I want you to be," she says. "You are my dad. But you don't want to be, do you?"
