Martin Lawrence on Getting Older -- and Fatter (VIDEO)

Martin Lawrence is turning 45. And if that fact doesn't make you feel old, then maybe you don't remember when he started out as a young star on the sitcom 'Martin' ... 18 years ago. Lawrence celebrated his birthday by appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), where he discussed some of the issues that come along with the aging process.

Lawrence celebrated his birthday by appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), where he discussed some of the issues that come along with the aging process.

"It feels good," Lawrence said to DeGeneres. "I didn't know I'd be able to do some of the things I can do at 45." When DeGeneres asked him what he meant by this, Lawrence clarified: "I thought at 45 I'd just gonna be sitting around -- I don't know -- eating doughnuts."

Still, despite the fact that Lawrence feels extremely youthful, he drew the line at taking his shirt off to show his abs. Apparently, he's worried about being a little pudgy. "If I take off my shirt right now, " he said, "everybody in the audience gonna be thinking about ... pudding."
