Martina Navratilova Talks Breast Cancer Diagnosis With Rachael Ray (VIDEO)

Nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova, who announced yesterday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in February, teared up while appearing on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

Navratilova, whose prognosis for recovery is excellent, underwent a lumpectomy last month and is scheduled for six weeks of chemotherapy beginning in May.

In a touching moment, a clearly emotional Navratilova mentions her mother, then tries to play off her tears by complimenting Rachael Ray on her hair and excellent green room food. "I'm really jealous, because you have great hair, which I don't, and the food here rocks," Navratilova said. "How do you stay so thin?"

"I run every morning and I wear black for a reason. I'm hiding a plethora of things back there," Ray said, gesturing to her hips and rear.
