When Comedy Central picked up 'Big Lake,' a new sitcom produced by Will Ferrell, one of the major selling points was that fact that it starred Ferrell's 'Blades of Glory' co-star Jon Heder. So when Heder announced last month that he would be leaving the show due to creative differences, the question on everyone's lips was, what big name would the network tap to replace him?The answer: Chris Gethard?
Yes, that's right: according to Entertainment Weekly, Comedy Central has turned to relative unknown Chris Gethard to replace Heder as the lead in 'Big Lake,' which tells the story of a man who moves back in with his parents.

Yes, that's right: According to the Ausiello Files, Comedy Central has turned to relative unknown Chris Gethard to replace Heder as the lead in 'Big Lake,' which tells the story of a man who moves back in with his parents.
But while Gethard may not have the name recognition that Heder brought to the project, he does boast a comedy resume even Napoleon Dynamite would be envious of. Besides being a member of Manhattan's influential comedy troupe Upright Citizen's Brigade, Gethard has also written for The Onion and 'Saturday Night Live' and penned the popular alternative travel guide 'Weird NY.'
And Gethard will have plenty of talent to back him up; in addition to the off-camera support of Ferrell, Gethard will be joined on screen by 'SNL' alums Chris Parnell and Horatio Sanz.
Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect out of Gethard thanks to one of his many videos from CollegeHumor.com:
