'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #3: Results' Recap

(S10E07) The eliminations this week on 'Dancing with the Stars' wasn't surprising at all. Right off the bat, Chad & Cheryl are safe. Chad immediately hugs Jake, of all people, then tries his best to hug Cheryl. Jake & Chelsie are also announced safe. Erin explains that her foot got caught, while Len commented that he wanted to see more of Aiden and less of Edyta. Edyta always had the issue of compensating for her partners with the combination of overly sexy motions and a lack of clothes.
Between the clips, there were these cheesy trailers for fake movies with the contestants in them. The only good one had to be Tony as "Glambo" running around, even making Maks turn in confusion.
Encore - Pam & Damian's Rumba - That sheet didn't really help do justice to Pam's movements; she had some strong hip action. I'm still weary about Damian's choreography, but it continues to get Pam through week after week. The two get touchy at the end, but it makes me worry if Damien is in a relationship or not.
Musical Guest - Sade, "Baby Father" - While I'm confused by the outfit choices of the backup singers, we get a steamy performance from Damian & Chelsie. Sometimes I forget how flexible Chelsie actually is because she doesn't do lifts with her celebrity. She spun with such abandon, and I really do think that some of the cross training from ballet at a young age paid off. The results continued and Evan & Anna are safe.
Musical Performance - Mark Ballas & Youth Performers - All the professionals show their childhood pictures and videos. Maks ended up having such cute photos because of embarrassing costumes. Mark, Derek, and Julienne danced together since they were young. Louis had long hair and Edyta still didn't wear much. Tony surprisingly fought other dancers to save his partner; possibly the reason why he's so protective of Kate. As the young performers start to dance, the dancers weren't perfectly synchronized. They all had a lot of potential, but I wasn't a big fan of the choreography or the outfits given to the girls. I will congratulate the dancers for doing a good job with what they had, but Mark should reconsider his choreography skills. Two more couples are safe: Nicole & Derek and Pamela & Damian.
Macy's Stars of Dance - Nuttin' But Stringz and Tiler Peck - Travis Wall choreographed the very interesting routine. If the name sounds familiar, he was a contestant and now a choreographer for 'So You Think You Can Dance.' The performance is a lot of fun to watch with the combination of ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop. I totally understand why Tiler Peck is the principal dancer, she was amazing. Unlike the Mark Ballas choreographed dance, Travis knows what he's doing and the performance was dynamic.
Musical Guest - Sade, "Sweetest Taboo" - While the dancers were good, it made me wonder whether the artists have some preference for their dancers versus the professionals. I also found it interesting that the stage's stairs were covered up for no real reason, Sade never moved from her spot, even marching in place by the end. It makes me think that the Sade/diva rumors are true.
The next couple safe is Erin & Maks. After the commercial break, the final three contestants' fate was finally announced. Kate & Tony are safe, leaving the bottom two as Niecy & Louis and Aiden & Edtya. The couple with the lowest total score is Aiden & Edyta. Kate actually looked a bit disappointed that Aiden was gone.
Next week, the performers get music from movies. I have that feeling that Kate will get something really Disney as a tribute to her children, but wouldn't it be amazing if she had to dance to something themed like 'She-Devil' or 'Death Becomes Her'?
