What to Watch: April 19 - 25

by Stephanie Earp, posted Apr 19th 2010 3:17AM

Warehouse 13
- Friday April 23, 10 pm, Citytv

This SyFy show makes its Canadian debut tonight, although in some ways it's been in Canada all along - it is shot in and around Toronto and Dundas, Ontario, and stars a slew of Canadian actors, including series lead Joanne Kelly. The plot is kind of silly -- two agents are assigned to gather supernatural artifacts for storage in a mysterious warehouse. But one could say that the plot of 'The X-Files' is equally ridiculous - it's all in the writing and the chemistry, which for the most part has gotten good reviews. US media keep citing 'Indiana Jones', but another show popped into my head -- 'Relic Hunter.' But 'Relic Hunter' with a budget.

Also This Week:

Lost - Tuesday April 20, 9pm, CTV/ABC

The tribes are merging! Jack's and Locke's groups kiss and make up. Banana fish gobble curio existential cupcake purgatory blister.

Glee - Tuesday April 20, 9 pm, Global/Fox

When Will notices that the girls in the glee club are being overrun by the guys (even though they are better-looking, better singers, better dancers, etc., etc.) he assigns them each a Madonna song, in hopes that a woman nicknamed 'The Material Girl' will inspire them to stand up for themselves. Whatever. The point is that even 'Glee'-haters like myself need to tune into tonight's episode to see renditions of Express Yourself, Like A Prayer and Sue Sylvester getting a makeover to the tune of Vogue.

Bones - Wednesday April 21, 8 pm, Global/Fox

It's shark week on 'Bones'. When a body is found inside one of the fishy man-eaters, Booth and Brennan are called in to identify the body. They call in a marine biologist to help, in the form of show-killer Rena Sofer. See what I did there? See? Anyway, Rena flirts with Booth which makes him and Bones reassess their relationship. Again.
