Buddy Valastro of 'Cake Boss' Is Living His Dream on 'Oprah' (VIDEO)

The star of 'Cake Boss' appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) to discuss his life and his dreams. Buddy Valastro -- head baker on the reality series -- talked to Winfrey about his childhood, and about how far he's come since then.

Valastro told the story of taking over the family bakery after his father's death, when Valastro was only 17. The chef has worked in the bakery ever since -- and now, he has his own reality program on TLC. Winfrey asked Valastro if his father could have ever imagined his current level of success. "He would be so proud," said Valastro, his eyes welling up with tears. To cap the day off, he then presented Winfrey with a specially-made cake.
