Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the brains behind 'The Office' and 'Extras,' have joined forces once again for the pilot of 'Life's Too Short,' a single-camera, 30-minute comedy starring Warwick Davis (pictured).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the pilot for BBC2 follows 'Harry Potter' and 'Star Wars' actor Davis in his day-to-day life. Gervais and Merchant appear in minor roles.

Billed as an observational comedy, the pilot also tackles the frustrations Davis faces as a little person.

"We're having so much fun working with Warwick. Pound for pound he is one of the funniest men I know," Gervais said in a statement.

Meanwhile, as we previously reported, HBO just renewed 'The Ricky Gervais Show' for a second season.
