According to the Wrap, Lowe has booked a guest spot on 'Californication' season 4, in which he will play Eddie Nero, an "imbalanced yet charismatic, award-winning movie star" who is up for the role of Hank Moody (star David Duchovny) in the big screen adaptation of Moody's book.

This marks yet another high-profile TV gig for Lowe, who will depart the ABC drama 'Brothers & Sisters' at the end of this season.

Lowe, who received an Emmy and four Golden Globe nominations for his work on the critically acclaimed NBC drama 'The West Wing,' will return to the Peacock network next month to begin a guest arc on 'Parks and Recreation.' Lowe's role is said to spill over to season 3.
