Gosselin Kiddies Cleared to Hit Primetime Again
Reality star and recent 'Dancing With the Stars' ejectee Kate Gosselin may be flying solo as a divorced mom, but she won't be without co-stars in her upcoming series of 'Kate Plus 8' specials on TLC.An official for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry confirmed to EW.com that Gosselin had filed the proper paperwork that will allow her eight children to appear in the shows, a spin-off of the original 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' series that brought the Gosselin saga into our living rooms, for better or worse.
The children aren't scheduled to appear in the other Kate Gosselin reality series, 'Twist of Kate,' however. That series, which premieres on TLC this summer, will feature the ex-Mrs. Jon travelling around the country, meeting families who face major home/life/work challenges and then attempting to "walk a mile in their shoes."

As EW.com points out, 'Twist of Kate' doesn't focus on Gosselin's own family life, so there's no need for her kids to appear.
The approval for the Gosselin eight to become working children again is the latest in what has seemed like an almost daily string of Gosselin vs. Gosselin maneuvers since Jon Gosselin's lawyers demanded that TLC stop filming 'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' particularly his children, last fall.
Since then, the Gosselins, whose divorce was finalized in December, have argued about custody of the kids (his attorney filed for primary custody on his behalf, though Jon Gosselin later claimed he had not asked the attorney to do so), while Kate Gosselin says that, no matter how much money she makes as an author and continuing reality star, ex-hubby Jon should still have to pay child support.
That may be tough, however, since Jon Gosselin's 15 minutes of fame (infamy?) may have come screeching to a halt. The prolific papa reportedly has to pay $22,000 per month in child support, but is so broke that he has to sell his used BMW to raise cash.
Jon Gosselin, who has been a regular tabloid figure since the alleged affair that sparked the public meltdown of his marriage in 2009, told TMZ.com that he's looking for a job in -- what else? -- TV.
"I would like a job in some aspect of TV, probably as a host," Gosselin said, while a source tells the New York Daily News that he's trying to get another series on TLC, even after his contentious dealings with the network last fall.
