'Brothers & Sisters' Shuffles Cast

by Laura Prudom, posted Apr 27th 2010 2:10PM
Gilles MariniThey say that friends come and go, but family is forever. Not so on ABC's hit drama 'Brothers & Sisters,' which has become a veritable revolving door of cast members this season. Following the news that Rob Lowe is calling it quits after season four wraps, theAusiello Files is now reporting two more cast changes for next year.

Fans of Sarah and her dishy French lover Luc will be pleased to learn that tall-dark-and-handsome Gilles Marini has been promoted to full-time series regular for season five.
But fans of the equally yummy Luke Grimes, who plays Walker half-brother Ryan, should brace for disappointment since showrunner David Marshall Grant has just announced that Grimes' storyline is complete at the end of this season.

But 'Brothers & Sisters' fans who may be unnerved by the recent casting overhaul have no more reason to fret -- Grant insists that the rest of the Walker clan is present and accounted for with no further departures planned.

"There may be an episode or two that some [characters] might not be in," he told Ausiello, "but aside from Rob [and Luke], the [entire] cast is returning."
The season 4 finale of 'Brothers & Sisters' airs on May 16.

This show is a 3 ring circus & should be called, "Momma Knows Best" - so many story lines going on at the same time. For once, could the kids solve a few of their own problems without busybody Nora sticking her nose in & "surprise, surprise", Nora, the kids aren't as stupid as you thought! It also needs more humor for relief.

I absolutely love the show. I adore Luc and will love watching it even more knowing that he is a regular. I hope that Sara and Luc do get pregnant. He (I believe) really adores her and she deserves to have something good happen for her. I wish I could change places with her for just a little while. She is one lucky actress.

You can get back to your Bible in a minute. For the moment, put on your thinking cap they gave you on Romper Room and realize that your kids aren't going to "try" anything of a sexual nature that doesn't jive with the genes they were born with. IF your kids were born hetero, you can rest at night knowing they will undoubtedly die hetero. STDs? Newsflash: They're everywhere and THEY don't discriminate. As for you, you weren't born close-minded, but that's likely how you'll die.

I love Kevin and Scotty. Scotty is the best thing that ever happened to B&S.

I am really getting tired of Rob Lowe. He has not had one series where he was on it from it's debut until the final episode.

Won't really miss Ryan. Giles is beautiful-welcome! And sorry to see Rob Lowe go. Side note/question-Whatever happened to Lauren Bittner who was supposed to play the young Nora a couple weeks ago? Is it true that Sally Fields had her axed because she didn't like the storyline? What a shame for Ms Bittner. That would have been great for her career!

I have to agree with some of you, I use to love watching this show but for them to shove so much of the gay couple in your face you would think they would rename it the life of scotty, seems thats all the show is about, how gays live and try to be somebody or a real man and woman that they aren't nor will they ever be to society. Sorry but I think they need to just cancel this show and find something else in it's place. I would rather have had Ugly Betty still going then this show. Rob Lowe was smart from removing himself from this show and if Sally Field had any dignity left she would walk away now because this show is making her look like she is desperate to do anything to make a come back in her acting career at the expense of promoting gays as an acceptable lifestyle, compared to her past the flying nun and its not gonna cut it. This show won't last you just wait and see.

As long as it fits into YOUR "lifestyle" that's okay, huh. Well too bad. The world is full of things that people don't like or can't take the time to understand. The gay storyline has nothing to do with the fact that the show is so lame. It oozes LifetimeTV and is filled with more convoluted crap than the worst soap opera. Oh, I'm sure Sally Field would get a chuckle out of your well-thought-out career advice. When the show tanks it will be all about the tired melodramatic writing, nothing more.

Good, because I never liked that half-brother story anyway! And I don't get the Luc thing-I personally don't like him with Sarah!
