'The View' Scores Tyson, Sidibe

Mike TysonABC's 'The View' looks set to land a knockout 1-2 punch in the first week of May with two impressive guests: Mike Tyson and Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe.

According to The Wrap, Tyson will make his 'View' debut on Fri., May 7, marking his first on-air interview with Barbara Walters since the awkward 1988 joint interview Tyson shared with then-wife Robin Givens on '20/20,' during which Givens described life with the boxer as "pure hell."
Following his hilarious cameo in last summer's blockbuster comedy 'The Hangover,' the former heavyweight champion has seen a surge in popularity after years of controversy. He's currently promoting a new series for Animal Planet, which goes behind the scenes in the competitive world of pigeon racing (yes, really), and a documentary about his tumultuous life. He last hit headlines in November for getting into an altercation with a paparazzo at LAX.

Already a 'View' alumnus, 'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe will co-host the show on May 4, following her previous appearance in February.

The show obviously made quite an impression, since the effervescent actress sang about it during her opening monologue while hosting 'Saturday Night Live' last week: "I'm not feeling blue, I've been on 'The View', I'm Gabourey." (Sung to the tune of 'The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)' for those playing along at home.)
