Zod Kills on 'Smallville' (VIDEO)

The thing about being incredibly evil is that, well, it can sometimes backfire on you. That's what happens on 'Smallville' (Fri., 8PM ET on The CW). Supervillain Zod (Callum Blue) takes out his rage on the woman he's been having a relationship with. But what he doesn't realize is that she's carrying his child.


Zod orders his mistress to kneel before him. She refuses. "Never," she says. So Zod strangles her. But as his mistress is lying dead on the ground, Zod leans down -- and, by using his superpowers, can hear the sound of his own child's last heartbeats. It's an incredibly dark moment for the long-running show.
