'24 cast
The clock is ticking down, all too quickly, to the May 24 '24' series finale, and while we're still in the thick of action with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and President Taylor (Cherry Jones), some of the show's greatest characters, and their portrayers, have come and gone. What have Nina Myers, Michelle Dessler and Tony Almeida -- a.k.a. Sarah Clarke, Reiko Aylesworth and Carlos Bernard -- been up to since their days at CTU? What is President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) doing hanging out with that big baddie Habib Marwan (Arnold Vosloo) ? And what new primetime fella does Teri Bauer (Leslie Hope) have her eye on now? Read on for all the scoop ...

Carlos BernardCarlos Bernard
Tony Almeida
We can only assume that Jack Bauer's one-time BFF Tony is in jail after his shenanigans in season seven. As for Bernard, he recently made a memorable guest appearance on the third season of 'Burn Notice,' playing the head of a kidnapping ring who had some very personal motivations for his work. Next up, he's part of the cast of ABC's summer dramedy 'Scoundrels,' starring Virginia Madsen as the matriarch of a family of small-time criminals who decide to go legit when the patriarch of the clan is sent to jail. Bernard plays a cop who may have feelings for Madsen's character.

Dennis HaysbertDennis Haysbert
President David Palmer

After his Golden Globe-nominated stint as '24's' beloved U.S. President Palmer, who was assassinated in the season five premiere, Haysbert spent four seasons as the leader of CBS' Emmy-nominated military drama 'The Unit.' The official spokesman for Allstate Insurance, Haysbert also starred in and provided voiceover for the Military Channel documentary 'Secrets of Pearl Harbor,' and next stars with Elizabeth Banks and Tobey Maguire in the big-screen comedy 'The Details.' He's also in the cast of 'Vanilla Gorilla,' a big-screen family dramedy about a captive albino gorilla who communicates his desire to escape via sign language. The movie also co-stars one-time '24' baddie Arnold Vosloo (Habib Marwan), but, thanks to that recent scandal with reality TV star Jesse James, producers may want to rethink the movie's title.

Reiko AylesworthReiko Aylesworth
Michelle Dessler

Former CTU leader Michelle was also killed off in the season five premiere, but Aylesworth has had little TV downtime since. She had recurring roles on 'ER' and the short-lived sitcom 'The Knights of Prosperity,' starred in the big-screen flicks 'Mr. Brooks' and ' Aliens Vs. Predator - Requiem' and starred in the pilots (but was replaced before the shows hit airwaves) for 'The Forgotten' and 'Three Rivers.' She also popped up in several episodes of 'Lost' as the Dharma Initiative's Amy Goodspeed, played Rachel, the wife of Campbell Scott's Joe Tobin on the just-concluded third season of 'Damages' and has a recurring role on 'Stargate Universe' as Sharon, the long-time partner of lesbian Camile (Ming-Na).

James MorrisonJames Morrison
Bill Buchanan

CTU head Buchanan was a casualty during season seven, but Morrison has continued to be busy in primetime. He guest-starred on ABC series 'Eli Stone' and 'The Deep End,' played the recurring role of Oceanside Wellness' rival medical practice owner William White on 'Private Practice' and is hospital administrator John Morrissey in the TNT Jada Pinkett Smith/Michael Vartan drama 'Hawthorne.' Morrison is also a yoga instructor at YogaWorks in Los Angeles.

Kim RaverKim Raver
Audrey Raines

Another ill-fated relationship for Jack Bauer, Audrey Raines ended season six in a catatonic state. Raver, on the other hand, jumped into starring roles on ABC's (short-lived) drama 'The Nine' and NBC's (short-lived) drama 'Lipstick Jungle,' before joining the current season of 'Grey's Anatomy' as Dr. Teddy Altman, Seattle Grace's new cardiothoracic surgeon.

Glenn MorshowerGlenn Morshower
Aaron Pierce

We haven't seen heroic Secret Service agent Aaron yet in season eight, which is unfortunate, since, for seasons one through seven, he and series star Kiefer Sutherland were the only two actors to appear in every season of '24.' Usually seen playing military roles, Morshower appeared in the summer 2009 sequel 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' (where he played General Morshower), popped up in the George Clooney military comedy 'The Men Who Stare at Goats,' and has guest-starred on TV series like 'Criminal Minds,' 'Dollhouse,' 'Cold Case,' 'Law & Order,' 'Trauma' and 'Friday Night Lights,' where he plays the recurring role of Landry's dad, Chad Clarke. Morshower is also a motivational speaker whose clients include his fellow Hollywood stars.

Penny JohnsonPenny Johnson
Sherry Palmer

One of the series' best villains, Sherry Palmer is another character who met an untimely end, when she was murdered by Julia Milliken (Gina Torres) in season three. Post-'24,' Penny Johnson has maintained a regular TV presence, with recurring roles on 'Eve,' 'The 4400,' 'October Road' and 'NCIS.' Most recently, she guest starred in a January extraterrestrial-themed episode of 'Bones.'

Sarah ClarkeSarah Clarke
Nina Myers

The evil, traitorous Nina Myers met her end in season three, when Jack Bauer finally got his revenge for Nina's murder of Teri Bauer. Clarke, who married her '24' co-star Xander Berkeley during her stint on the show, is part of another pop culture phenomenon, playing Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) mom Renée Dwyer in the 'Twilight' movies. She's also had recurring roles on the short-lived drama 'Trust Me' and TNT's 'Men of a Certain Age,' and stars with her husband in the upcoming movies 'Bedrooms' and 'Below the Beltway' (which also stars '24's' Annie Wersching), and with fellow '24' alum Sprague Grayden (Olivia Taylor) in the big-screen sci-fi thriller 'Level Seven.'

Leslie HopeLeslie Hope
Teri Bauer

Since Mrs. Jack Bauer's shocking death in season one, Hope has worked steadily in primetime, with regular roles on 'Line of Fire,' 'Runaway,' 'Everwood' and 'Commander in Chief,' in which she co-starred with Donald Sutherland, the real-life dad of her '24' husband. She's also guest starred on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent,' 'Private Practice,' 'House' and 'CSI: Miami,' and, in the show's May 20 season finale, returns to 'The Mentalist' as Patrick Jane's (Simon Baker) love interest Kristina.

James Badge DaleJames Badge Dale
Chase Edmunds

His '24' tenure included dating Kim Bauer (Elisha Cuthbert) and getting his hand chopped off by Jack Bauer in season three, and his post-'24' career has been just as exciting (and dangerous). He played Denis Leary's brother Timo Gavin on 'Rescue Me,' has made guest appearances on all three 'CSI' series, had a role in Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning 'The Departed' and stars in the upcoming big-screen flick 'The Conspirator,' director Robert Redford's drama about the trial of a woman accused of conspiring in the Abraham Lincoln assassination. He's currently starring in the HBO miniseries 'The Pacific,' playing World War II Marine Robert Leckie, the real-life writer whose WWII memoirs were part of the basis for the Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks-produced series, which concludes on May 16. In August, Dale's new series 'Rubicon' debuts on AMC, and finds him playing Will Travers, a think tank analyst who discovers his employers are part of a manipulative, powerful secret society.

Louis LombardiLouis Lombardi
Edgar Stiles

CTU analyst Edgar was one of the show's most loved characters in season five, which made his tragic death all the more shocking. The character actor has continued to be busy in primetime since '24,' with guest roles on 'Las Vegas,' 'Ugly Betty' and 'Monk,' a recurring role on 'Entourage,' and, this season, memorable stints on 'Chuck' and 'In Plain Sight.' He also played Pathos/Ethos/Logos in 'The Spirit,' and returns to the big screen later this year in the comedy 'Kevin Can't Wait.'

Roger CrossRoger Cross
Curtis Manning

Cross' Curtis Manning was one of Jack's most loyal CTU cohorts, and one of Jack's most tragic kills, when Mr. Bauer had to shoot Manning to protect a terrorist-turned-government ally in season six. Cross has continued his on-screen government work with roles in 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' on the big screen and the Canadian TV drama 'The Guard,' and a guest spot on 'NCIS.' Cross also was a recurring character in the sixth season of 'The L Word,' playing a drag queen, Sunset Boulevard, who fell in love with Pam Grier's Kit, and recently guest starred on 'Fringe' and as a Ring agent on 'Chuck.' Next up, he does voiceover work in the animated big-screen retelling of Noah and his ark in 'Noah's Ark: The New Beginning.'

Jean SmartJean Smart
Martha Logan

When last we saw the former First Lady Martha in season six, she was dating Aaron Pierce and stabbing her evil-doing ex-POTUS hubby Charles. Smart was, deservedly, nominated for a pair of Emmys for her role as the, ahem, excitable, Martha Logan, and she followed her '24' stint with an Emmy-winning performance as Christina Applegate's kooky mom on the too-short-lived ABC sitcom 'Samantha Who?' She also played Michael Cera's mom in the movie 'Youth in Revolt,' plays Patrick Wilson's mom in the upcoming comedy 'Barry Munday' and -- do you sense a theme here? -- plays Katherine Heigl's mom in the October comedy 'Life As We Know It.' In real life, she became a new mom again in 2009, when she and actor husband Richard Gilliland adopted a baby girl from China. This fall, Smart returns to primetime, playing the governor of Hawaii in CBS' remake of 'Hawaii Five-O.'

And Chloe went off the deepend, changed her name to Gail and ended up in Philly giving handies to her Uncle Frank.

I almost don't want to ask them to bring back Aaron Pierce and Martha Logan because from the looks of the list, they'd just die (or go to prison). Heh.

But seriously, Aaron Pierce needs to come back for this final season!
