Elisabeth Hasselbeck Makes Public Apology to Erin Andrews (VIDEO)
Elisabeth Hasselbeck issued a public apology to 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant and ESPN reporter Erin Andrews on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) after the comments she made about Andrews' costumes. Yesterday, Hasselbeck said Andrews was dressing too provocatively, especially since she was recently the victim of a peeping tom. However, she said she came to realize her words hurt Andrews' feelings. Hasselbeck said her daughter, Grace, asked her why she looked so sad, prompting her to rehash to story for the 5-year-old. Then Grace said, "Mommy, why don't you just call Erin and tell her you're sorry!?" And that's just what Hasselbeck did.
"I'm really sorry," Hasselbeck said. "I wanted to offer that publicly too, even though I did follow that advice."
What do you think, were Hasselbeck's comments out of line?
