Joel McHale of 'Community' dropped by 'Today' (weekdays, syndicated) for an interview with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. But, technical difficulties derailed his interview in a way that seems most fitting for his other show 'The Soup.'

McHale is in the process of discussing how the fourth hour of 'Today' serves as constant fodder for 'The Soup' when there's a technical snafu that prevents a clip from being played.

"This is going smoothly," McHale joked. "I'll just act the clip out." Then, at the end of the interview, McHale walks off the set in faux exasperation.
