Father and Son on 'Fringe' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted May 7th 2010 2:45AM
Father and Son on 'Fringe'Family relationships are tough enough to begin with. But when you add alternate realities to the equation, well, that's when things start to get really complicated. That's the situation on 'Fringe' (Thu., 9PM ET on Fox).

[Spoiler alert.]

Peter (Joshua Jackson) has run away from home. He left after learning that he's from an alternative universe and is not really his father's son. But now, Olivia and Walter (Anna Torv and John Noble) have managed to track him down in Washington State. They set out to find Peter. Meanwhile, Peter has a surprising encounter with ... his real dad.

Season 6 of House sucks because the DEA got final script control and has forced out all the good parts about the show, beginning with House's Vicodin use. We're supposed to believe House's chronic pain was all in his mind the first 5 seasons, nobody really needs painkillers (if he doesn't need them who possibly does?) and vicodin makes you see dead people. That's worse drug war propaganda than the 80s "this is your brain on drugs!" garbage.

The thing I don't get is why Fox (or whoever made the decision) finally gave in after 5 seasons and let the DEA take control of "House"? Maybe they arrested the showrunners, charged them with drug crimes, and said they'll drop the charges if you make your lead character stop "flaunting his drug abuse on primetime TV in front of all the little children" and finally the DEA got what they wanted. It's not like the DEA wasnt screaming about "House" ever since the pilot, but only after 5 seasons did they finally get their way. Huge mystery. They blackmailed someone, I just wonder who.

I stopped watching House about 3 months ago, the show just got unbearable. I see I wasn't the only one who noticed. When the government writes your TV shows, those shows get pretty bad.

If you don't believe me, that's fine, I'm not going to give you "proof" because I don't have the internal DEA documents showing what they did. YOu can do some minimal research and find out they've done this sort of thing before with other shows... shows that did nothing more than mention medicinal marijuana in a non-deadly, non-propaganda way in one single episode. If you really think the DEA isn't going to fight against a TV show whose star - a brilliant, witty character who is smarter than everyone else and who always solves the puzzle and saves lives - is dependent on Vicodin for his pain and flaunts his use of those pills, you're totally nuts... seriously insane.

Don't bother with him step. He is always posting this crap. No one cares, he knows no ones cares, yet he's compelled to keep posting it. I think it's a form of Tourette's or some sort of mental illness. He's harmless overall though. lol
