'Desperate Housewives' - 'Stone Doll' Recap
(S06E22) "It's only a matter of time before she turns up." - Eddie to Lynette about his motherWith the season finale airing next week, it is with no surprise that this week's 'Desperate Housewives' was packed with action that moved all major storylines closer to a conclusion.
Patrick put his ultimate plan in motion, Susan and Mike made a decision that surely had some fans go "Noooooooooo!!!", Lynette discovered the truth about Eddie, Bree tried to get Sam out of her life but Sam fought back.
Patrick's plan
In flashbacks, we learned new tidbits and were reminded of a few facts about Angie and Patrick: she majored in engineering in college but dropped out; she joined a group of eco-terrorists lead by Patrick and fell in love with him; and she built a bomb for him. In the present, Patrick told Angie that she should be proud of her scar and that he believes she still loves him. Angie said she was not proud of it since a man died, and that she never loved him. I'm pretty sure Angie did love Patrick when they first met but that, during the last 20 years, she fell out of love to a point that she now despises him.
Angie is one tough woman, but Patrick knows exactly which buttons to push to get her to do what he wants. In order to save Danny, Angie agreed to build Patrick another bomb. He claimed he wants to use it in Oregon, but somehow I feel like it may detonate on Wisteria Lane about the same time the cops will circle the house and ask Patrick to surrender.
Susan and Mike's move
As I've said in the intro, I bet a few viewers said "Noooooooooooooo!!!" when they discovered that Susan and Mike were moving off the lane and into an apartment until their finances were better. For the Mike and Susan fans, don't worry, they'll be back next season. As Susan said it, they are moving close by so they'll visit Wisteria Lane. Plus we'll still see Susan at school where MJ and Juanita go. For the Susan and Mike haters, well, no luck for you as the couple will be back. However, if they do end up moving, it may mean a tiny bit less screen time.
Lynette vs. Eddie
Eddie was right, it was only a matter of time before his mother turned up. Of course, she turned up dead. Lynette had a rather disturbing wake-up call at the end of the episode when she connected the dots and discovered that Eddie killed his mother. She doesn't know yet that he tried to strangle Susan (but injured Julie instead) and killed three other women, including Irina. It wouldn't be surprising that Eddie spills the beans next week when Lynette tries to reason with him.
If Eddie will listen to someone, it'll be Lynette. However, Eddie is in his killer mindset so he will surely not be as receptive at first, but I doubt he'll try to kill Lynette as fast as he did the others. After all, Lynette is the only woman who loved him and was truly supportive of him. That is, of course, before she discovered the ugly truth. Not to fear, it's extremely unlikely that Lynette will be killed but you can bet that she won't get out of there without a bruise or two.
Bree vs. Sam
The scene with the two ex-cops trying to intimidated Sam was quite funny and a welcomed breather in a drama-packed episode. Sadly for Bree, Sam had a secret ace in his pocket and didn't hesitate to play it: Andrew ran over Carlos' mother.
Will Bree agree to sign her entire company over to Sam in order to protect Andrew? If not, the Hodges/Van De Kamps will have to face the music. If yes, Bree will more than likely have to work for Sam until she publishes all the books she signed for and Andrew and Orson will surely be out of a job.
"To be continued ... " Only one episode left this season!
