Gene Simmons Is Indeed 'Smarter Than a 5th Grader' (VIDEO)

Gene Simmons Is 'Smarter Than a 5th Grader'His decades as a member of KISS haven't provided Gene Simmons with much interaction with fifth graders (thankfully). But that didn't deter him from appearing on 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?,' nor hinder his raising a record amount for charity in the process.

On the game show, within 'Gene Simmons Family Jewels' (Sun., 9:30PM ET on AETV), Gene correctly answered question after question (while KISS fans in full costume cheered him on from the audience).

"This is the farthest that any celebrity has ever gone," said host Jeff Foxworthy after Gene won a record $500,000.

Interesting how "smart" people can be when they're briefed ahead of time with the questions and answers. Come on people, do you actually believe that this moronic program is on the up and up? It's more of a freaking pseudo-reality format than game show. Skeptics are never treaded on. Try being one for a change and feel the difference!

It is doubtful that Gene Simmons taught school as an accredited teacher. Other than attending a community college for a period of time, he has no history (or credentials) of graduating from college with a teaching credential. For you supporters of Gene Simmons, Teacher: where and when did he teach school?

Gene is an exceptional man with a unique intelligence. A Rocker who doesn't drink or smoke and has no tattoos and has lived in a wild world and remained true to his character. I'm impressed, but I knew that Gene was smarter than a 5th grader. Thanks Gene for your fine character.

Gene Simmons is a highly intelligent individual, and not just in the art of making money...that push comes from his background. I am by no means a Kiss fan, but I am certainly a Gene, and family, fan. To be a rock star idol, and never have done drugs, that is truly something he should be even more proud of. I enjoy watching his show because they are all incredibly funny, especially Nick.

ok retract what i said about they giving him the answers but i did a search and he was a 6th grade teacher in new york , so he still a cheater lol

During KISS' early days, Simmons worked as an assistant for the editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine and as a deli cashier before putting his degree to good use by teaching sixth grade in New York's Spanish Harlem.
