The Show Girl's Got Scoop on 'Community,' 'Party Down' & the New Cooking Channel (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted May 14th 2010 9:00AM
Joel McHale, 'Community'This week's show is all about comedy and cooking -- what's not to love? I've got dish on the big 'Community' season finale extravaganza from hilarious star Joel McHale.

I also chat with 'Party Down' funny lady Megan Mullally about the upcoming episode with Steve Guttenberg (playing himself, naturally) and the big return of Jane Lynch's cater waiter character Constance. Then I get a visit from one of the hottest stars of the soon-to-launch Cooking Channel, David Rocco, about his sexy Italian show 'Dolce Vita.'

"Themed episodes" meant for the Show Girl to talk about a certain genre (ie Comedies) and talk about three comedies in her video. And Dharma it seems that none of the true writers have shows, it seems all the webcasts are hosted by the editors, as in yours having you. I would love to have the Lost podcast back, from the old TV Squad site...that was a nicely themed "show" and LOVED the people who hosted it...but I cant find those type of podcasts on here any more, ones that have hosts that give info, feedback, commentary and actually make it entertaining to listen to about shows I am interested in. This specific Show Girl really did not give enough information to lead me in any certain direction. Oh well, I will gladly pass on any ideas I have to you another day. :)

Sorry, I meant that I tried to find the "Lost" TV Squad podcast, but then realized that the old crew was talking of creating a themed podcast for the series and I was excited about it but the next podcast they taped said they were not allowed to because of AOL's Instant Dharma themed cast, which I have tried to listen to but end up shutting it off.

Can we start having some of the writers do these? OR have themed episodes? Three random thoughts for three random shows, more content would be nice, instead of what you like and don't like...maybe focus more on the shows? Make it longer if you need to, we are not teenagers, we like having more information...not bits and pieces of info thrown in our faces...almost liked the concept of this, but still looking for a good podcast (like the old TV Squad ones).
