Common Forges Michael Jordan's Autograph, Spells Name Wrong (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted May 18th 2010 4:00PM
While interning as a ball boy for the Chicago Bulls in 1984, Common was once asked by fans to get the autograph of basketball legend Michael Jordan, but Jordan instructed Common to forge his signature, he said on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

Ever the entrepreneur, Common not only signed the autograph himself, but also tried to charge the fans $5. His plan would have worked if not for poor spelling. "So, I gave them the autograph and they looked and they said, 'Man, this is not Michael's autograph.' I spelled 'Michael' wrong, unfortunately, and had to give them $5 back," Common said.
