James Franco Returning to 'General Hospital'
Urgent! Authorities in Port Charles have issued a warning, effective immediately, for all concerned citizens to be on the lookout for a strikingly handsome and devastatingly charming Hollywood star who may be prowling the city. Civilians are warned that he is considered armed and dangerous -- to the ladies. Yes, it's true: James Franco has agreed to return to 'General Hospital.' As reported by PEOPLE, 'General Hospital' producers issued a statement today announcing that the popular film star will reprise the role of Franco, an murderous artist with an "obsessive vendetta," beginning next month.
Franco first appeared on 'General Hospital' late last year for a lengthy stint during which he menaced the good citizens of Port Charles using bombs and veiled threats. Now, according to the press release, he'll be taking the city on a "wild ride of mystery, music, murder and mayhem" that will ultimately put the hospital itself "in peril."
For his part, Franco -- the real one, not his fictional namesake -- couldn't be happier about his return to the world of soap operas.
"Working on 'General Hospital' was a great experience," the star of 'Pineapple Express' and the 'Spider-man' franchise told People. "I love the cast, writers, directors and producers. They have become a new family for me. I can't wait for the work we will do this summer."
Neither can we, Franco. Neither can we.
