'Lost' - What They Died For Welcome to Instant Dharma, where we break down all things 'Lost' every week -- equal parts for our own sanity and for your entertainment.

Please don't watch or read any further
unless you've seen the episode or don't mind spoilers.

This week, Orientation: Ryan Station podcasters Ryan McGee (@Zap2ItLost) and Mo Ryan (@moryan) -- also of Zap2it.com and Chicago Tribune, respectively -- join me to talk about 'What They Died For,' the big-moment-every-moment penultimate episode of the final season of 'Lost.' Seriously ... could you ask for a better lead-in to the series finale? And now can we stop complaining about last week's Jacob/Man in Black episode?

Watch, share with your friends and come back Monday morning for more 'Lost' questions, answers and reactions in our very special supersized finale episode of Instant Dharma. (Man, I'm gonna miss this.)

Did anyone else pick up on the fact that we now know that it was Jin and not Sun who was one of the candidates? When Jacob said to Kate that her name was crossed off because she became a mother that meant to me that it had to be Jin.

I can't be the only person who noticed that Ben started to cry when Danielle says "You're the closest thing to a father she's ever had" - and that was almost verbatim what Ilana said to Ben about Jacob when she found out Ben had killed him.

Lost is my personal favorite show of all time. It will be the favorite of many. The characters are what made the show. We will forever remember Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, Locke, Ben, Sayid, Sun, Jin, Desmond, Juliet, Boone, Charlie, Claire, Daniel, Miles, Michael, Walt, Charlotte, Penny, Shannon, Frank, Widmore, Jacob, Richard, Mr Eko, Man in Black, Ana Lucia, Libby, Danielle, Ilana, Rose, Bernard, Alex, Naomi, Mr Shephard, and Vincent the dog.

I find it funny that reviewers and fans alike have spent so much of the last week telling everyone how much they hated "Across the Sea." LOST is more like a novel than any other TV series. You wouldn't review each chapter of The Maltese Falcon or the Dune the way we have wrung dry every episode of the series with our comments. Our reaction to a specific episode is not as important as how we feel at the end of a season. Likewise, how we feel at the end of the show will tell me more about the importance of "Across the Sea" to the flow of this season and to the story overall. That's why "Exposé" and "Stranger in a Strange Land" are considered so useless. They don't matter. I believe "Across the Sea" won't suffer the same fate.
