Eddie Murphy Talks Stand-up, James Brown, Redd Foxx on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)

Early in their stand-up careers, Eddie Murphy and Jay Leno didn't make much, and had to be careful with their money. On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), the two reminisced about not getting paid, James Brown's questionable financial advice and comedian Redd Foxx's tax-dodging methods.

"I remember I did a gig in a little place," said Murphy. "And afterwards -- I did such a bad show -- I went up to the guy ... and said, 'Hey, I was supposed to get 50 dollars for the show.' And he looked at me and said, 'You better get the **** outta my face.'"
