It's the end of the season on 'Medium' (Fri., 9PM ET on CBS). But can the end of the season lead to ... death?

On the finale, Allison (Patricia Arquette) must come to terms with the terminal brain tumor that she had surgery on in the previous season. Unfortunately, aftereffects from the tumor and the surgery still linger, and Allison dies from it in the night. Her dead body is discovered in the morning by her horrified husband Joe (Jake Weber).

After Allison's death, her daughter Ariel (Sofia Vassilieva) takes over in her place, solving a crime using the family psychic skills. We then flash-forward 30 years, when Joe dies, and is finally reunited with his wife, and then ... okay.

Okay. MAJOR SPOILER ALERT. It was just a dream. Allison never really died at all. The entire episode was just a near-death experience, enabling Allison to see what the world would be like without her.

So, what do you think? Was this a good finale episode? Or kind of a cop-out, what with the whole dream thing?
