'Law & Order' Series Finale (VIDEO)
For 20 years now, the series 'Law & Order' (Mon., 10PM ET on NBC) has been on the air, which ties it for the record of longest-running TV drama in history. (The show that it tied with, by the way, is 'Gunsmoke.') But after two decades and about 450 episodes, the show is over.[Spoiler alert.]
Sam Waterston appears on the series finale to reprise his role as District Attorney Jack McCoy, in a case involving a potential school shooting. Even after all of these years, McCoy still proves himself to be pretty bad-ass. But in a way, the question of whether the villain will be stopped or not seems strangely beside the case. This is the end of one of the oldest shows on TV, and that's a little sad.
'Law & Order' is done. DUN DUN.* (*That's the show's sound effect, in case you were wondering.) And even though the show will be replaced by the new 'Law & Order: Los Angeles,' things won't really be the same without our favorite New York City cops and lawyers.
