Spoilers Anonymous In-Depth: 'FlashForward'

Spoilers Anonymous Flash ForwardThis is Spoilers Anonymous In-Depth, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we discuss and give our two cents about recently-released spoilers and how they may affect the storylines, shows and fans. This in-depth version of the column goes hand in hand with our weekly spoilers column where we supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air.

This week we discuss various spoilers recently released for the series finale of ABC's 'FlashForward'.

Spoilers for the series have not poured throughout the season but some were released, including for what is now billed as the series finale. Too bad the shows Powers That Be weren't told well enough in advance of the cancellation as it will more than likely mean a few cliffhangers and some unanswered questions.

Here are the 'FlashForward' spoilers I will discuss in this edition of 'Spoilers Anonymous In-Depth:'

- Sonya Walger said about the last episode that "There's some closure to it, but there's an awful lot left unexplained."

- It's April 29, 2010, and while everyone waits to see if their flashforward visions come true, Mark uncovers the date of the next blackout.

Yeah, I know, it's not a lot of spoilers for the finale. Actually, one of these statements is not really spoilerish. But we don't need more to discuss the series finale, do we?

I've watched every single episode of 'FlashForward' and, even though it's not the greatest series this season, I was entertained by every single of it. I loved the complexity of the flash forwards and was looking forward to seeing if they would come true. I would be satisfied with the finale if they at least close the book on the flash forwards we saw occur in the pilot. If the finale ends as the flash forwards are set to unfold, I will be quite the angry fan and will feel cheated of hours of watching the series.

We know that the series finale will be set at the time the flash forwards are supposed to come true. Since Walger says there is some closure to the finale, I hope she means that we will get to see which flash forwards happen and which do not. Another reason why it's more than likely that we will see the flash forwards unfold is that there is another blackout in the works. So the series needed to get the first "futures" out of the way before having anyone blackout once more.

Since it's clear that the series did not get proper warning to wrap things up with a nice bow for us, I'll accept the many cliffhangers that they will throw our way in the finale. However, I wish that they won't throw us a WTF? OMG! moment so huge that we'll desperately want more as it would be just plain cruel. I would rather have them remove these scenes from the episode and have ABC air more commercials instead.

Let's hope that the show's Powers That Be leak out on the web what they had planned beyond the finale so that we get some more closure.

That 'FlashForward' finale airs this Thursday on ABC. To get prepared, below is a preview for the series finale.

Epic video, benford running for lis life and also with a shotgun.

Sucks that we were given 6 season of Lost, but only 1 of Flashforward.
