Charlie Murphy is 50 years old, but has been a comedian only about nine years, first making a name for himself on 'Chappelle's Show'. He revealed why he waited so long to join the stand-up- and sketch-comedy arenas when he appeared on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS). "Because my brother's Eddie Murphy, and he's an icon," said Charlie. "I didn't want to show up and people be like, 'Oh look, here's Eddie Murphy's brother -- he's funny too.'"
But now Charlie's getting recognized on his own, leading to some awkward run-ins -- namely in a restaurant bathroom.
