Get Ready For 'The Next Food Network Star'

This Sunday, June 6 at 9PM ET on the Food Network, the newest batch of hopefuls will begin the competition that will land them a show on the esteemed network. 'The Next Food Network Star' launched Guy Fieri's career and it could do the same for the competitors above.
We've seen the first two episodes -- no spoilers here --and the competition is intense and full of lively, likable characters. As if the prospects of the cast's sizzling dishes isn't enough to wet your appetites, check out some of our past articles to gear up for the competition.

At a special screening of the series, judges Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson dished on the new competitors and even gave their opinions on Food Network programming. That got us thinking, where's the vegetarian cooking show and what other niches is the network missing out on? To help Tuschman and Fogelson, here are some pitches for shows their network needs to add to their lineup, pronto!
After the screening during a round-table interview, Tuschman and Fogelson talked about what exactly it takes to become a celebrity chef like Bobby Flay, De Laurentiis, Ina Garten, Rachael Ray or any of the countless talent on their channel.
