After acquiring broadcast rights to 'The Martha Stewart Show,' which premieres Sept. 13 at 10AM ET, the network has decided to surround the program with other shows produced by Stewart's Living Omnimedia. The result, according to Deadline Hollywood, is a mid-morning/afternoon block of "how-to" shows.

After 'The Martha Stewart Show' ends at 11AM., the network will air a new, topical, one-hour talk show hosted by Stewart's daughter, Alexis, and radio personality Jennifer Koppelman Hutt. Premiering at noon will be the new cooking show 'Mad Hungry With Lucinda,' hosted by Living Omnimedia's executive food editor Lucinda Scala Quinn.

After 'Mad Hungry,' the network will air reruns of 'Everyday Food.' That will be followed by selections from the 'Martha Stewart Show' library from 1PM to 4PM. The 'how-to" block will end with a rerun of the morning's 'Martha Stewart Show' at 4PM and 5PM.

In addition to the afternoon block of programming, Hallmark Channel will air two hour-long, primetime specials during the Halloween and Christmas seasons that will focus on crafts, traditions and history of the holidays. Stewart will develop two additional primetime interview specials focusing on movers and shakers in the worlds of entertainment, politics and culture.
