Leaving a child to pack for himself before a vacation trip seems like a sure-fire recipe for disaster. When Molly Shannon's five-year-old son Nolan was told to pack for Hawaii, he brought nothing but thirty pairs of socks and thirty pairs of underwear, she said on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated).

"What's incredible is that your son has thirty pairs of underwear," said Kelly Ripa. "My kids have, like, five pairs, and then, you know, you wash them."
