Never trust anyone! That's the first rule of police work. And it's probably an excellent rule for the rest of life, too -- if you want to become a paranoid recluse, that is. ... Still, never trusting anyone is a good rule to follow sometimes. And on 'The Good Guys' (Mon., 9PM ET on Fox), detective Jack Bailey (Colin Hanks) learns this to his peril.

Jack becomes involved with fellow cop Kirsten (Lauren Stamile). The two of them start to have a make-out-session, but then -- whoops! -- she turns out to be the bad guy's girlfriend! Duh. People on cop shows should really watch more cop shows themselves, is our theory. Of course she's going to be the bad guy's girlfriend. Who else would she be? In return for his brief amount of kissing, Jack gets punched in the nose, maced and held captive in a warehouse. ... You have to ask yourself -- is it really all worth it?
