Comedy Central to Roast David Hasselhoff

David HasselhoffFrom 'Baywatch' to his cheeseburger-spitting video, David Hasselhoff has had a lot of public moments worthy of ridicule. So it's fitting, then, that he'll be the subject of Comedy Central's latest roast, set to tape later this month and air Aug. 15 at 10PM, according to a network press release.

Though he did title his autobiography 'Don't Hassel the Hoff,' Hasselhoff says that he's honored to have been selected as a roastee, which puts him in the company of previous subjects like Denis Leary, Larry the Cable Guy, William Shatner, Jeff Foxworthy, Bob Saget, Joan Rivers and Jerry Stiller.

"I have always been a major fan of roasts," he states, "dating back to the days of the 'Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts.' Laughter is the best medicine. Bring it on! I'm ready to take the heat."

A list of roasters has yet to be revealed.

Hasselhoff has been listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as "The Most Watched TV Star in the World," and published a photo of his certificate in his autobiography, along with a list of all of his television and music work. That includes the original 'Knight Rider,' as well as all four versions of the Blue Swede song 'Hooked on a Feeling' that Hasselhoff has recorded. Judging by the video below, this man will be extremely hard to shame.
