Sure, Anamika Veeramani correctly spelled the word "stromuhr" to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. But Jimmy Kimmel and his staffers tested the bee queen again -- this time adding some confusing pronunciation to the mix.The spelling bee panel on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC) included "Uncle Frank" Potenza and Guillermo Rodriguez, the latter in a bee costume. Guillermo's Spanish pronunciation of the word "juxtaposition" meant the more difficult job for Anamika was to first figure out the word she had to spell.
When asked to use it in a sentence, he said, "Yu-hut-ta-poz-i-tee-on is a really long word." And when she sweetly inquired as to whether someone else on the panel could pronounce the word, Jimmy replied, "Guillermo is the only official pronouncer."
So did the 14-year-old figure it out? Check out the video clip.
